There are a great many folks who have taken a few piano lessons, maybe when they were children, but for any number of reasons they quit. Years later, they find that they regret having quit, and they want to get back to making music. But where to start? 

There are others who have never played a note of music in their life, yet they found within themselves a growing desire to learn to play piano, But once again, where to start? 

At "At Home With Music, I offer step-by-step instruction in piano and music theory on my YourTube channel. I teach the "popular" style of chord-based piano playing, where you can immediately begin playing their favorite songs. 

There are free downloadable PDFs connected to many of the videos.  

I also create videos on music appreciation, where I talk about artists and composers who will inspire you! 

The videos are free for all to view, and those who wish to support the channel financially can join my Patreon, become a YouTube Member, or you can "Buy Me a Coffee."  

I am a classically trained musician with over 5 decades of experience performing  classical music, pop, rock, jazz, and standards. 

I have a degree in Music Theory and Composition. 

I have performed in country clubs, fine dining restaurants and hotels, and at special events of all kinds including weddings and wedding receptions, private holiday parties, business events and conventions. I've done both background music and live shows. I've also accompanied instrumentalists and singers, and I've played in several bands over the years. 

I also owned and operated a small recording studio from 1990-2020, where I produced recordings for independent artists. I functioned as an arranger, studio musician, and recording engineer. 

I've been largely retired from live performing since 2017, and I closed the studio in 2020.  Now I devote myself to "At Home With Music" full-time. I have no intention of fully retiring from creating videos and teaching materials here!  

I believe that everyone should be able to live a life filled with music. That's why I love being a teacher and musician. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, let's explore music together!
